The Journal, Tuesday, June 5

Hey Folks, Looking forward to another good day of writing. The novel is running, and it’s weird (for me). It seems to be psychological suspense with a lot of police procedural mixed in. Meaning the final main genre probably will be police procedural. Well, unless it develops into a thriller. I’ll have to see what happens with the scope. I like the effects/ramifications of both of the PS and PP genres. Both require minuscule, exacting and precise detail-detail-detail (but none of it boring, all of it tension-building) at the sub-molecular level. I love that stuff. Both require intensity. The Journal, Friday, May 11

Hey Folks, Wow. I woke up jonesing to get back to writing today. The marketing webinar was great yesterday, but I’ll have to go over it again. It was a ton of information, and they probably needed 3 or 4 hours (or longer) for a proper presentation. Anyway, this SNAFU with the Journal prompted me to make two major changes, as follows: Of Interest Section — From now on, for an entry to make it into the “Of Interest” section it will have to pass two tests: 1. I believe it’s valuable information, … Read more

The Journal, Sunday, April 29

But mine’s developed into a full-blown (no pun intended) head cold. I did get more sleep last night than I’ve had in the past few nights combined, but it was still spotty at best. No writing today. I have one major chore that I can’t put off (clearing some drain pipes) but otherwise I plan to rest and read today. Some thoughts on the WIP….. I have two short stories in the novel/collection WIP … Read more
