Quote of the Day
“I’ve been making it my goal to write everyday, and get 7,000 words a week. The only way to learn any craft is to exercise it! There were some rough patches getting started (old fears coming back into play etc.) but I’m glad to say Ive been pretty consistent over the last few months, and many times I end up exceeding my goal. I feel myself learning more about myself as a writer with each completed project.” Ed, a new TNDJ subscriber
A Very Short Post
Not a lot of time today as I have to leave for an appointment at 10:30.
But I wanted to pass along the enlightening quote from Ed above and the short video from Vin Zandri in Of Interest below.
The current novel is racing along fine. I hate abandoning a character who’s fired up and chomping at the bit to tell his story. So rather than spend a lot of time on an issue of TNDJ this morning, I’m going to get back to the novel. (grin)

Disclaimer: Whatever you believe, unreasoning fear and the myths that outlining, revising, and rewriting will make your work better are lies. They will always slow your progress as a writer or stop you cold. I will never teach the myths on this blog.
On this blog I teach Writing Into the Dark and adherence to Heinlein’s Rules. Because of WITD and because I endeavor to follow those Rules I am a prolific professional fiction writer. You can be too.
