Quote of the Day
“The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.” Voltaire (via The Passive Voice)
When the day was over yesterday I’d added around 1600 words to the novel and ended the day with a little over 5,000 words of fiction. So a good day. And I actually remembered to switch the posting time from noon back to 5 p.m. (grin)
Just a reminder, WMG Publishing is offering a free course on Kickstarter Best Practices. To sign up, visit https://wmg-publishing-workshops-and-lectures.teachable.com/p/kickstarter.
The 50%-off sale continues on my books over at Smashwords. At checkout, just enter coupon code TK47M.
Several short stories are free over there, and at least a few people have used this opportunity to “test” several of my novel series in different genres at one time. Jump aboard! It costs you little or nothing. And for another great opportunity, read on. (grin)
Topic: Want To Be Part Of My New Street Team?
For some time now, I’ve offered short stories and novels as rewards to those who support me as a first reader or as a patron. Now I’m taking it to the next level. Six years into my journey as a professional fiction writer, I’m finally starting a street team.
If you’d like to read every short story and/or every novel I publish at your leisure, email me at harveystanbrough@gmail.com. Please put STREET TEAM in the subject line so your email will get through my spam filters. In the body of your email, please tell me whether you’d rather read novels, short stories, or both and your preferred format (Kindle, Nook/Apple, or PDF).
Here’s how it works:
1. A week or longer before each new release, I will send everyone on my street team a free advanced reader copy (ARC) of my new story or book.
2. In return, members of my street team promise to post a review on release day, especially on Amazon, but some also post their review elsewhere.
3, Reviews don’t have to be complicated. A simple star rating with “Loved it!” (if you do) works just fine.
This will be a massive help to me, and you’ll get to read every new release before anyone (other than my first readers) even have a chance to see it.
So email me if you’re interested. And thanks in advance!
Today was a very slow writing day. I started early on the novel and added around 1200 words in the first session, and then was distracted by other things.
Talk with you again soon.
