Another Novel Is Live

Blackwell Ops 24: Buck Jackson Returns went live this morning at Amazon and vendors supplied by Draft 2 Digital. Of course, it’s been available since publication at a lower price at StoneThread Publishing.

Still, usually when I get a “your book is live” notice, I’ve just finished or am about to finish another novel. (grin) Not so this time. Because I took time off to do some maintenance around the place, I’m a little behind on my writing.

Which is a strange concept, really. I write into the dark, so I can never really be “behind” on a story.

I can stop writing it and step out of my characters’ world for awhile if I need to. But whenever I finally step back into that world, the story and the writing pick up where they left off without a hitch.

Like resuming a conversation with an old friend you haven’t seen for awhile, it’s all very smooth and natural, as if there was no gap in time. I’m a very fortunate guy.

Anyway, to celebrate the “release” and WITD, I’ve decided to have a two-for-one sale.

Two-Fer Sale

For the next week or so, for anyone who buys a copy of any book in the Blackwell Ops (thriller), Wes Crowley (western), or Journey Home (SF) series through StoneThread Publishing, I’ll send a second novel in that series free of charge.

You don’t even have to email to let me know. Payhip notifies me of every sale in real time. (grin) Setting up a store on Payhip really is one of the best things I’ve ever done Think of Shopify, but without the cost and the unnecessary steroids.

Openings Critique Ongoing

Just a reminder that my openings critique offer still stands.

I’ll do an in-depth critique of any opening up to 1000 words or so. The opening can be of any short or long fiction in any genre, published or unpublished. The cost is $15.

For updated details, see Curtailing an Offer. You can pay through the Donate Here link at the bottom of the page.

I’m also copyediting again for a limited number of writers. For details on that, please see Challenge, Copyediting, Subscription Reminder.

Bradbury Challenge Reminder

Yeah, I know it’s a couple of days early. Today is Friday. You who are in or want to join the challenge, please be sure to get your story info in to me before the Journal goes live on Monday.

Setting a personal deadline earlier in the week is the easiest way to ensure that.

Remember, the whole point of the challenge is to have fun and grow as a writer even as you expand your IP inventory. (grin)

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Talk with you again soon.

Disclaimer: I am a prolific professional fiction writer. On this blog I teach Writing Into the Dark and adherence to Heinlein’s Rules. Unreasoning fear and the myths of writing are lies, and they will slow your progress as a writer or stop you cold. I will never teach the myths on this blog.
