“Bottom-line concerns.” Yes. Because today the major traditional publishers increase the value of their corporation NOT by publishing and selling books but by paying a pittance for IP, then valuating that IP and simply adding it to the assets column of their spreadsheet.
At 5 a.m. this morning it was 13° above freezing. That sounds a lot colder than 45°, doesn’t it? Illustrating that how you say a thing can communicate much more than what you say.
For all those out there who write into the dark and discover the story as we go, we are not alone. We already know King and Child several other contemporary “name” authors write into the dark. Apparently JRR Tolkein did the same thing. Just sayin’….
