The end of August! Where in the world did the time go? And it’s 2018! Shouldn’t it still be around 1978 or so? (grin)
Anyway, some very exciting news today, especially for those of you who design your own book covers. One of the best publishing suite companies is England’s Serif. Their products are intuitive, and they easily rival Adobe at a small fraction of the cost.
Serif finally came out with the new Affinity Publisher (beta version) and is offering it free at https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/publisher/. I just downloaded my copy.
Based on my long use of Serif products, I can also recommend Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

Today is “Reader Friday” over at the KillZone blog. The posed question is “Which Story Is Your Best Work?” I actually wasted a few seconds with a response: “The last one I published.”
But actually that was a fib. Actually my best work is the last one I finished. (It isn’t published yet.) And the last one I finished will change later today. (grin)
This isn’t a smart-aleck response, and I meant it. After all, if your storytelling skills aren’t improving with each work, why bother?

To the Hovel about 7. By 11 (now) I added a little over 4,000 new words. Now I have one more scene to write to tie the ending to the denoument and I’m done.
So another new novel and a great writing day. For me, it can’t get any better than that. And by 12:30, done and done.
I think there will be more stories in this series, but not for a book or two. (grin)
