Hey Folks,
Well, I took pretty much a full day off yesterday. I did a lot of things and had a great visit with my buddy, but I did no fiction writing at all. And three or four times, when nothing else was going on, I yearned to get back to the story. One of those good/bad feelings.
So today it’s back to writing for at least awhile. I’ll set up the writing ‘puter in the Hovel, and every time I have a half-hour or so of dead time, I’ll head out there.
We’ve been spoiled during this monsoon season this year with low temps (when I got up this morning it was 65), a nice break from the heat. I’ve always been a lower-desert rat, and for most of my life I loved Dry and I much preferred Hot over Cold.
But this year (like last year) I find myself enjoying the cooler temps of the monsoons and actually looking forward to winter. I’d rather the mesquites were evergreen, but you can’t have everything. (grin)
Anyway, I hope I’ll remember to post this later. For now, out to the Hovel and the novel.
Well, I didn’t get a lot of writing done today, but the story is improved. The characters told me something I didn’t know before, so I cycled back from Chapter 31 to Chapter 22 and added a few sentences to set it up.
It’s wonderful to be unstuck in time in your writing. (grin)
