The Journal, Wednesday, March 21

Hey Folks,

Out to the Hovel early but I didn’t turn to the novel right away.

Instead I wrote a nonfiction piece that probably most of you will never see. Maybe more background for my next WIP, I don’t know.

Then I worked on the current novel. After I had about 1600 words done, I headed out to check the PO at about 11, then back home.

I boiled some eggs a couple days ago, and I had the bright idea that I’d make some deviled eggs as a surprise for my wife. So I decided to do that.

The two lady cats came in and sat behind me at the kitchen counter. When I do those things with a spoon and bowls, they automatically assume I’m making tuna salad. And they demand their toll.

I disappointed them, but I couldn’t handle it.

After I finished the deviled eggs, I pulled out a pack of tuna and began mixing up a batch of tuna salad.

Both ladies appeared again as if by magic.

I fed them and looked around to give some to the chihuahua too, but he was nowhere to be found, natch.

Of course, he came in sniffing the floor just after the ladies finished eating and disappeared.

I’d already mixed the remaining tuna with non-dog-edible other stuff, so I gave him a couple of peanut butter treats.

Then I received yet another email from a guy I created a website for over two years ago. There are things I can’t make him understand. I finally contacted his web host and submitted a support ticket to get them to help him. If that doesn’t work, I’ll just have to wash my hands of the whole matter.

I thought about going back to work, but frankly I’m too annoyed.

Tomorrow I have a day of doctor appointments. I hope to get some writing done in the morning. If I do, I’ll post an edition of the journal. If not, I won’t.

Either way, I’ll talk with you again soon.
