The Journal, Friday, March 2

Hey Folks,

Wow. The last few mornings, I’ve been rolling outta the rack right at 2 a.m. no matter what time I went to bed. Those of you who’ve been around awhile will remember my usual time is between 3 and 4. My son and his family are coming in tomorrow. So with a weekend of visiting, I’m hoping to get a lot done early tomorrow morning.

It typically takes me an hour or so of slapping myself around with the Internet to wake up. Then I head out to the Hovel for my first session on my WIP.

While dinging around on the Internet this morning, I visited Crime Writer Sue Coletta’s website at https://www.suecoletta.com/. It seems a great writers’ resource. I recommend visiting.

Also, over at the Kill Zone blog this morning, Jordan Dane poses an interesting question: What three pieces of advice would you give your young writer self if you could?

She also answered it, and her answer kind’a made me sad. I had to keep repeating “Every writer is different.” But frankly it didn’t help much.

So I answered it too. (grin)

***

Good first session this morning with just over 1000 words, then back to the house to get ready for the day and start this Journal entry.

I ended up with three more good sessions for an overall pretty great writing day for me.

Note: If you’re following my numbers below, I screwed up the spreadsheet again. Finally got it fixed today.

See you tomorrow.
