Hey Folks,
To the writing in the Hovel at 9:30. I started Jimmy the Dope yesterday, so I figured I might as well finish it.
Still not much in the mood, but after I looked it over I felt a little more like writing it. Definitely a short story, though.
It doesn’t feel like it wants to expand larger than one event, and that’s fine. With the stand-alone short stories I wrote for my previous WIP, when this one’s finished I’ll have around 200 short stories. Okay, I just looked 193. All the numbers at the bottom are correct now.
I need to compile more of the stories in collections though. I haven’t done that in awhile. Soon I’ll need to dedicate some time to cover design and publishing. Sigh.
Right at noon I finished the story at just over 3900 words.
In other news, I’m thinking about transitioning my main website over to a pure writer’s website.
If I do that, all the writer-stuff will continue on this Journal. The main website will contain only occasional blog posts. Maybe every other week.
Those posts will deal with my stories, novels, novellas and collections and any upcoming releases, sales, deals etc.
Maybe I’ll talk about characters I particularly like, but it will be more reader oriented than writer oriented. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
Again, this Journal will continue, and all the writer-based stuff will be over here.
